Soul Cafe is a new type of ministry happening in your locality which might just be right for you !!
We've called it Soul Cafe because that's what it is.

What’s it all about?
You are warmly invited by your church to the Soul Café meetings, These new style ministry meetings are a new, relaxed, ‘café’ style event for everyone to join in.
All Souls comprises: Austrey, Warton, Newton Regis, Seckington and Shuttington/Alvecote)
Why is it happening?
There are many people in our community who would love to join in some way with the Church community but are hesitant about coming into the formal atmosphere of Church. Others may be curious or searching for meaning in their lives, or want their children to experience the positive influence of Christian values. Our aim is to meet new people in an informal way.
What will it be like?
It is a relaxed way for people to be able to join in with songs, watch a drama, have a chat, eat doughnuts and drink coffee/tea/juice/hot chocolate, hear fun stories, enjoy the puppets, take part in craft activities and also to offer an opportunity to hear about Jesus and how He can be real in our lives today.
Who should come?
It will be really suited to families, particularly those with primary aged school children and their parents, although everyone (old and young alike) is welcome.
When and where will it take place?
Update:
Soul Cafe is taking a break now till the autumn when it will re start with more puppet sketches and worship in that now familiar laid back format
Soul Cafe has used the primary schools in our parish as the venues with one school used each term. All our meetings open their doors at 10 am for a drink and a chat before we start at 10.30am and we are finished by 11.30am. Just to remind you that whilst Soul café is aimed at families and whilst particularly suitable for primary school aged children, people of all ages (teens to the more mature adult!) come and really enjoy the experience.
How's it gone so far??
Soul Café got off to a wonderful start at the end of September 2007 and has continued into 2008 with its range of colourful activities. We were delighted to see so many new faces have come and join us at the meetings. The atmosphere is relaxed and cheerful, allowing time to do the craft activities, to chat and enjoy the refreshments.

We had lots of fun making our vegetable monsters as you can see above. The puppets always add colour to the mornings and really engage everyone. They great fun and are enjoyed by all most especially by the younger ones.

The comments from people who came were all lovely and we are now working on making the successive Soul Café’s even more fun. We will be using the puppets again and of course, there will be lots of music to add to the atmosphere. MANY THANKS TO ALL WHO MADE SOUL CAFÉ POSSIBLE
